Using Divya Katha

Divya Katha is an app of short Hindi episodes retelling stories from Indian scripture. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms. You may use Divya Katha for your own personal, non-commercial use, and with your family.

The stories and who owns the videos

The episodes are retellings of public-domain scriptures, including the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, the Puranas, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. The scriptures belong to everyone; the videos, images, narration and artwork in Divya Katha are produced by and © Bharat Product House. Sharing an episode through the app's share button is welcome. Please don't download, re-upload, re-edit or sell the videos or images elsewhere.

These are devotional retellings made for learning and reflection. Different traditions tell these stories differently; an episode is one telling, not the final word.

Comments and community

Comments are a place to share what a story meant to you. Be kind. Don't post anything abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening or illegal; don't attack anyone's faith, community or family; don't spam or advertise; and don't share personal details, yours or anyone else's.

You can report a comment, hide it, or block the person who wrote it. We may remove comments and restrict anyone who breaks these rules, without notice. You are responsible for what you post.

Changes to the app

We may add, change or retire episodes and features over time. In-app features and records, such as your watch history or anything the app counts or ranks, may change or be reset, including to correct errors, misuse or a fault in the app.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Divya Katha: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, no scraping, no automation that fakes watching, and no using it to harass or harm anyone.

Liability

Divya Katha is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for interruptions, errors or episodes that are unavailable for a time.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

Changes

We may update these terms and will show the date of the last update at the top. How we handle your data is described on the privacy page. Divya Katha is published by Bharat Product House, India.
